Resources
Four regenerating resources that fuel your actions in the world of Ekzeto.
How Max Resources Scale
Each resource has a base value plus a per-level bonus:
⚡ Energy
20 + 2/lvl
Lvl 10: 40
Lvl 50: 120
🔥 Zeal
10 + 1/lvl
Lvl 10: 20
Lvl 50: 60
😊 Joy
5 + 2/lvl
Lvl 10: 25
Lvl 50: 105
❤️ Life
100 + 10/lvl
Lvl 10: 200
Lvl 50: 600
Energy
Your primary action resource. Energy is spent on training stats, studying scripture, spiritual warfare encounters, and interceding during sieges.
Used for
- +Training stats (5 energy per session)
- +Scripture study (3–10 energy depending on passage)
- +Spiritual warfare encounters (5 energy per daily, 15 for weekly boss)
- +Intercede siege action (15 energy)
Tips
Energy is your most versatile resource. Prioritize scripture study early for wisdom gains, then switch to training or warfare depending on your goals.
Zeal
Passionate devotion and holy boldness. Zeal is consumed when undertaking quests and performing siege actions in biblical battles.
Used for
- +Quests (4–30 zeal depending on difficulty)
- +Siege assault action (20 zeal)
- +Siege fortify action (20 zeal)
- +Siege scout action (10 zeal)
Tips
Zeal regenerates slowly and your max pool is smaller than energy. Save zeal for important quests and coordinate siege actions with your faction.
Joy
"The joy of the Lord is your strength." (Nehemiah 8:10) Joy is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) and acts as an XP multiplier — the more Joy you have, the more experience you gain from all activities.
Used for
- +XP gain multiplier (higher Joy = more XP from all sources)
- +Spent when using scrolls (5–30 Joy based on rarity)
- +Note: joy-restoring consumables cost Energy instead of Joy
- +Drained by combat defeat (5 Joy) or fleeing (2 Joy)
- +Drained by quest failure (2–10 Joy based on difficulty)
- +Drained when starting quests in harsh locations (Egypt, Babylon)
Tips
Joy regenerates slower than Energy (1 per 10 min vs 1 per 5 min). Loaves and Fish restores 30 Joy (costs 30 Energy). Keep Joy high before turning in quests for maximum XP. Joy-restoring consumables cost Energy to use — plan accordingly. Scrolls still cost Joy based on rarity.
Life
Your health points. If Life reaches 0 in combat, you are sent to the Pool of Bethesda for healing. Life is depleted by spiritual warfare combat and reflects actual damage taken.
Used for
- +HP in spiritual warfare combat (combat uses your actual life)
- +Depleted on quest failure
- +If life reaches 0 in combat, sent to Pool of Bethesda for 60 minutes
- +Healed at the pool with 25% of max life
Tips
Life regenerates 5 points every 5 minutes — the fastest raw rate of any resource. Healing Oil restores 50 life instantly. The Pray action in spiritual warfare heals faith x 0.5 HP. Always check your life before entering dangerous encounters. While recovering at the Pool of Bethesda, most actions are blocked but your resources continue to regenerate.
TributeCoins
The primary currency of Ekzeto. TributeCoins are earned through quests and PvP victories — and lost through defeat.
How to earn
- +Quest rewards (30–300+ TC)
- +PvP victories (steal 5% of opponent's coins)
What to spend on
- -Equipment (30–500,000 TC)
- -Consumables (Manna, Healing Oil, Loaves and Fish)
Pool of Bethesda
When your Life reaches 0 in combat, you are sent to the Pool of Bethesda for healing (John 5:1-9). While recovering, most game actions are blocked — you cannot train, quest, study scripture, or enter combat.
How it works
- -Combat uses your actual life — damage taken in combat reduces your real health
- -If your life reaches 0, you are sent to the Pool of Bethesda for 60 minutes
- +You are automatically healed when the timer expires
- +On healing, you are restored to 25% of your max life
- +Resources continue to regenerate while at the pool
- +You can see who else is recovering at the pool
Tips
Use the Pray action when your combat HP drops below 30% to avoid being sent to the pool. Keep Healing Oil in your inventory as an emergency life restore. Check your life before entering dangerous encounters.
