Chat
Ekzeto has a real-time chat system that lets you communicate with other players. Messages are delivered instantly when a live connection is available and fall back to periodic polling otherwise.
Channels

Rules
- Messages are limited to 500 characters.
- Messages are rate limited to prevent spam.
- Keep chat family-friendly — profanity and inappropriate content are filtered automatically.
- Only links to ekzeto.com domains are allowed; all other URLs are blocked.
- Attempting to share personal information or recruit players to external platforms is prohibited.
Moderation
Messages are automatically filtered before delivery. Violations result in escalating penalties:
- 1st offence — message blocked with a warning.
- 2nd offence — 1-hour chat ban.
- 3rd offence — 7-day chat ban.
- Repeated offences — permanent chat ban (appealable to admins).
Players can also report inappropriate usernames. Moderators review reports and may force-rename violators, issuing a strike on their account.
Blocking Players
You can block up to 200 players. Blocked players cannot send you whisper messages and their messages are hidden in public channels.
Word Filters
You can add up to 100 custom words or phrases to your personal filter list. Messages containing any of your blocked words will show “Banned by user filters” instead of the message content.
Manage your word filters from the Chat Filters section on your Profile page under Settings.
